U.S. Bank’s Digital Asset and Blockchain team needed a way to test a new on-network blockchain environment with a large-scale audience. Through several ideation sessions, we began the concept of a game to purchase and plant NFTrees minted as Ethereum tokens on the new blockchain environment. I took the concept and developed the game experience and built storyboards to help build excitement. We found an enthusiastic partner in the ESG team, who pledged to plant 1 real tree for every virtual tree planted. With this partnership, I worked hand-in-hand with the Digital Asset team, ESG team, and a development team to build out the full experience. I created the complete design and worked closely with development build the final game experience to be rolled out to all bank employees. The launch was a huge success with over 2,500 participants and over 20,000 virtual trees planted and over 40,000 real trees planted!
